Homemade Cranberry Sauce
1 package whole, fresh cranberries
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup Cinnamon Pear or Cranberry Pear Aged Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (1 tsp if using Cranberry Pear Balsamic Vinegar)
1 tbsp orange zest (or a good splash of OJ)
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar, balsamic vinegar, and water. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Mix in cranberries, cinnamon, and orange zest.
- Reduce heat and simmer until the berries burst-about 10 minutes.
- Cool completely. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
